Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on August 9 1976 the oldest among four kids. Audrey Tautou's parents who have a doctor for teeth and a school teacher, supported and encouraged her passion for acting and theatre. The initial goal of her to be a monkey expert was replaced by a desire to study theater and drama. The rise was swift for her to become a well-known young actor. After her graduation in 1998, she took part in the French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching acting professionally. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church in her youth and was raised Catholic. She is now separating herself from this background. In addition to her acting career, she pursued a modeling career. Also, she is the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting work she is also interested in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs at the Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. In her photographs, she is mainly focused on celebrities and fame. Cameras are focused at journalists, who sat and watched her during her rise to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first big role, starring as the lead in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie won international acclai box office success and was acclaimed at awards ceremonies across the globe. It's the highest-grossing French film in America. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of films including British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
