Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress, dancer and singer. Her early Broadway productions include Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. in You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford has spent her time working with some of the most acclaimed actors and directors across theatre and on television. she is continuing her award-winning work with several upcoming projects. Ashford will be next seen alongside Kumail Nannjiani as part of Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is currently filming on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The movie will air on Disney DTC in the form of an Hulu Original. The film will premiere in March 2023. Ashford will make a return appearance on Broadway and star opposite Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same duo who brought us Hamilton directed the musical. Ashford was last seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis that saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the middle of the nation's first impeachment proceedings over an Century. She starred in two seasons of popular CBS comedy B Positive. The show was created by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. It featured Linda Lavin as well as Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her performance as Essie in You Can't Take It with You earned her Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Other Broadway credits includes Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the originating role of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots a performance for which she also received a Tony Award nomination. Ashford is an Denver native who now divides her time between Los Angeles.
